„Goddess: There is so little life there... a dark, ugly principle reigns: not everyone

understands it. The simple utopia—either everyone or no one—has long been worn out and

narrowed. One look outside is enough, and I know that communism, as an Indian philosopher

once read to me from a very old book, will never become the destiny of people.

Harlequin: And I keep thinking, why has the suicide rate for love dropped to zero? Why

doesn't anyone kill themselves for love anymore? Was there a time when people did? There

was a time when love still meant something. I think I have hair to wash.

Goddess: How can you be so immoral, Marquis? How can you cancel a meeting a few

minutes before and say that you have to wash your hair?“

Giorgi Jamburia's "Berserkies at Home" is the third play of the five-part cycle, conceived on different themes

and issues - under the common title and various subtitles - "Berserkies"; "Berserkies - Mission" (text by Heiner

Müller) and "Berserkies - Sunny Side" (written by Keti Nizharadze) . Two of them - the first and third parts

were presented together with the company "Haraki", while the third one - in a new and young independent

space - the City Theater.

Review

Performance of solid construction, precise "mechanics", clearly defined tempo-rhythm,

is built on improvisations and interaction, the course of which also depends on how the performance will go

that particular day (physically and emotionally) and what kind of audience is sitting in the hall. The maximum

closeness of action places and mise-en-scenes, characters to the audience unites the hall and the stage and at the

same time creates more resistance with the unusual effect of proximity. This kind of conventionality breaks the

laws of conventionality of the theater and moves to a new artistic reality.

limit itself to theater activities but to be an open, active and critical cultural space in the city

The goal of the team is to engage in the process and as a result of this process create a work

that serves self-awareness and finding new points of contact with society. The theater was

opened on May 15, 2021 in the Wine Factory , Petriashvili #1- the city heart. The theater is

an independent organization from the beginning to the end and is nourished by its own funds
