them in a tragic destiny. The play is based on true stories of one big family and their friends.
The stories were told and passed through generations secretly for years .
Review
One can not remain indifferent to the performance, in which the centuries old heartbeat of Georgian Nation is
heard. 1921-1924 reflects the tragic events of the Soviet occupationof the First Republic of Georgia and is based
on true stories. For the first time, the generation of independent Georgia came alive on the Georgian stage and
told us a sould stirring story about the personal and state struggle for freedom. The play uses real human stories,
but it is not based on the principle of documentary theatre. Levan Tsuladze created and artistic canves with
actors, where deep human wounds are filled with spirit of freedom, independence and dignity. This is a play in
the language of people, a manifesto, which like other well known cases in history of theatre, becomes a source
of national self-awarnedd and basis for its strength.
