“Sometimes silence is louder than screaming”. There are questions we ask only ourselves — questions without clear answers.

Often, the answer arrives in an unexpected form, at an unexpected time.

It comes quietly. It knocks.

It arrives… as a guest.

But who is it?

A person?

An illusion?

Or something else entirely?

And on that day — when the guest knocks on the door — we begin to ask.

“The Visitor” explores the fragile edge of human experience, where faith and reason begin to question one another.

At its core, the play is an inner dialogue: a man living under a totalitarian regime confronts his conscience, his God, and himself.

The visitor who arrives may be real… or may be a figment of the mind.

"Sometimes silence is louder than scream.

There are questions that people only ask ourselves, yet we cannot find the answer. The answer to our questions often comes in a completely different way—when we least expect it. It comes and knocks on the door. It comes as... a guest. But who is it? A person? An illusion? Or?... And on that day, when the guest knocks on the door, we will ask questions."

City Theater is a fully independent, multifunctional space — one that we are literally building with our own hands. For the past three years, we’ve been working to create a place where theater lovers, students, and emerging artists can connect with the inner world of theater: to see behind the scenes, witness the process, engage with a real working environment — and create themselves.

With us, student directors, set designers, actors and other aspiring artists take their first steps. They are actively involved in every aspect of production — from set construction and costume creation to the countless details that bring a performance to life. We are also supported by volunteers — young people from various universities who are directly involved in physically building the space. They arestanding on the foundations they’ve helped lay.

This year, despite serious challenges — a difficult national climate and a four-month strike — we still managed to stage seven premieres. It was a season marked by hardship, but also by resilience. And we believe the productions that premiered on our stage were a true success.
