FOLKS is an inclusive dance performance born from a deep creative collaboration between InForm – Platform for Inclusive Minds (Georgia) and SZENE 2WEI (Germany).
In times of chaos, tension, and uncertainty—when internal fears and external threats feel overwhelming, and loneliness and vulnerability spark a yearning to escape—there exist protected spaces: places we safeguard and that shelter us. These are the spaces where those who care for us, and whom we care for, come together.
FOLKS is a journey of seeking and creating these safe territories—where individuals who may seem like strangers at first, unfamiliar with one another, connect through movement, sound, and storytelling. By building solidarity and care, they find strength to face an uncertain and ever-changing world.
InForm – Platform for Inclusive Minds is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting the development of inclusive performing arts in Georgia and creating opportunities for integrating people with disabilities into society through art. Founded in 2022, InForm aspires to make the Georgian art sector accessible, inclusive, and diverse for creatives of all abilities by fostering powerful artistic collaborations, facilitating knowledge transfer, and building a strong, inspiring inclusive artistic community.
InForm established an inclusive contemporary dance theater group composed of both disabled and non-disabled performers. The group collaborates regularly with a variety of local and international artists and companies. Its work includes producing inclusive dance and theater performances, offering educational programs, and carrying out advocacy efforts to ensure equal access to the arts for people with disabilities across Georgia.
