Tamta Kajaia is a cultural manager and a PhD candidate in Theatre Studies.
She serves as a literary editor at Kentavri Publishing House of the Shota Rustaveli Theatre and Film Georgia State University, where she is also a visiting lecturer.
Since 2023, she has been the Head of the Public Relations Department at the Shalva Dadiani Zugdidi Professional State Drama Theatre.
She has served as a jury member at numerous theatre festivals and has also been invited to participate in the Târgu Jiu International Theatre Festival and the Sibiu International Theatre Festival (Romania).
An active theatre scholar and critic, she served as Chair of the Jury of the Theatrical Imereti Festival in 2025. She has also been a jury member of the Sighnaghi Theatre Festival, the annual festival of the Georgian Theatre Society, and the Mikheil Tumanishvili Foundation Competition (2024).
Tamta Kajaia has edited several academic and theatre-related publications, including Contemporary Lithuanian Theatre, Ancient and Medieval Theatre, Movement Theatre, The Tskhinvali Theatre, and The Zugdidi Theatre. She is also the editor of the annual conference proceedings, International Journal of Art and Media Studies.
